A fitness coach and postural alignment specialist in the city of San Francisco, Charlie Reid is passionate about helping others enrich their lives through seeking active lifestyles and achieving their health and fitness goals as efficiently as possible. Working in collegiate athletics, commercial gyms, and therapy clinics, he has seen a panoramic view of many different arenas in the fitness industry. From this, he has incorporated a unique training paradigm that incorporates postural alignment training with traditional fitness training.

From his days working as a postural exercise therapist at the Egoscue Method, Charlie has come to realize that posture comes first when doing any sort of movement practice.  When the body is aligned, performance increases, energy levels go up, digestion/respiration improves, weight loss happens faster, and injury prevalence goes down. The body has a designed, natural alignment, and when it deviates from that design, it is like racing a dragster on tires that are turned out: sooner or later, a tire is going to blow. This type of postural awareness and exercise protocol is necessary now more than ever since our society is more dysfunctional from lack of activity/movmenet and increased hours of sitting.
